Causes of static electricity
Static electricity is a natural phenomenon. Generally speaking, there are three main sources of static electricity: friction, induction and conduction. In the manufacturing process of electronic products, static electricity may be generated in welding, assembly, testing, packaging and other links. On the one hand, the generation of static electricity lies in the characteristics of electronic components, on the other hand, it has an important relationship with the production operators. If the production personnel do not operate according to the anti-static specifications, the static electricity protection measures are not fully worn, and the conductive objects are randomly placed in the production process, static electricity may be generated. Because electronic devices are mostly conductive materials, static electricity may be generated under the action of electrostatic field in the process of device contact.
Electrostatic protection measures
The harm of static electricity is obvious to all. Now many electronic manufacturers have begun to implement various electrostatic protection measures. However, it should be recognized that the improvement of effective electrostatic protection should be based on the different situations of different enterprises to formulate corresponding countermeasures. Electrostatic protection measures should be systematic and comprehensive, otherwise, it may cause destructive reaction. Here are some simple protective measures for the electronic industry:
·Wear static clothes, pants and shoes to prevent static electricity.
·Some electrical equipment such as workbench and testing instrument shall be grounded.
·Strictly control the humidity and temperature of the production environment.
·Add ion fan to neutralize the static electricity generated by PCB and components due to high temperature hot air.
Static electricity is everywhere, do well in electrostatic protection measures, for the production of electronic products, it is equivalent to eliminating a major security risk, and with the rapid development of the current electronic industry, the technology of electrostatic protection also needs continuous improvement and development.
